Noting that she and Clive Bell have abandoned a plan to have a lodger; encouraging him to take a room nearer to her house in Gordon Square and Virginia Woolf's house in Fitzroy Street; commenting on the War: "The worst is that the people one knows are beginning to get killed & then it does seem utterly senseless and horrible."
